Please read the story attached or right from the Bible. After the story, I have attached some discussion questions. I have also included an application activity in order to understand why Zechariah stayed silent.
This is also to help each Spark understand the importance of believing what God says and his Word. God tells us to believe in him and we can be sure what he says is true.

Luke 1:5-25 – read from the Bible and a shortened version from the Sparks book.
Discussion Activity after the story:
- Why did Zachariah become silent?
- What did the Angel say about Zechariah’s son?
- What would he be named?
- What prophet would he be like?
- What would he do?
- When would Zachariah be able to speak again?
- Why is it best to always believe what God says?
